Encounter God Together

Most of us were taught that Bible reading is a solitary act—something you do alone in a quiet room. The SourceView Bible Reader changes that.

By using a unique four-color format that identifies the speakers in every book, we move from solitary reading to a communal experience where groups encounter the Word of God out loud, together.

Our Story: A Journey from "I Don't Know How" to "Hello World"

The vision for this tool was born in Thailand. We were distributing printed SourceView Bibles in four colors, and I (Rob) wanted to provide a digital version so people could access the entire Bible on their phones in the same intuitive format. When I asked others to build it, they all said "no".

I prayed, "God, how are we supposed to build this?" and His response was simple: "You do it". I didn't know how to code, so I spent two to three years learning through online tutorials, starting with a simple "Hello World" until I could build the SourceView Bible Reader you see today.

How It Works: The Power of Four Colors

The SourceView Reader isn't just another Bible app; it's a tool designed for harvesting the goodness of God from His Word.

  1. 01

    Four Speaking Parts

The text is divided into colors—Black (Narrator), Red (God), Green (Main Characters), and Blue (Everyone else).

  2. 02

    Group Engagement

Groups of four choose a color and read the Scripture out loud like a script, bringing the narrative to life.

  3. 03

    The 365-Day Journey

The entire Bible is divided into segments that can be read in 12 to 15 minutes a day, allowing you to finish the Word in one year.

  4. 04

    Deep Application

At the end of every segment, we provide discussion questions designed to help groups move beyond information to transformation and application.

Global Reach: 900+ Languages Incoming

What started as a tool for Thailand has exploded into a global project. Through partnerships with Biblica (NIV) and Wycliffe, we have obtained the rights to bring the SourceView format to over 900 versions of the Bible in different languages.

We have even created an online editor so that speakers of any language can help color-code the Scriptures for their own people.
