New Project and update

Hey everyone,

Yes, it's time again for our update. Our time in Canada was great. We got to catch up with a lot of family and friends and our church. God was good to us in every area. God's provision also came in timely fashion as we needed to stock up on things for our time in Thailand. We had a wonderful Christmas in a country that actually has Christmas (unlike amazing Thailand).

We returned to a very busy schedule with Cy leading the SBS (School of Biblical Studies) as the school director and Rob catching up with the rest of the staff. Our regular DTS (Discipleship Training School) started with 9 students. It's an exciting time as we have two schools running at the same time in the same place. There is a lot of life happening here!

IMPORTANT: Building a house on the base

God has told us that we need to live on the base and so build a house on the base. God spoke to us about living as an example before the people we disciple (currently we live 5km from our YWAM base—too far away), just as David lived among the people and influenced them by example:

"All Israel and Judah loved David, FOR he went out and came in before them." (1 Sam. 18:16)

We want to disciple the nations, not only through teaching, but also through showing them how we live on a daily basis.

There is currently no housing for families. We have had a building designed which has two separate houses (so that others can live there too) in the same building. The whole building will cost about $70,000. God has provided $5,000 already. The builder said we shouldn't start until we have at least $20,000 so that the structure can be built, then little by little as money comes in we can finish. We are trusting God to provide the rest over the coming months—and if you can't donate, please pray for God's dream of building this to be done quickly.
