Greetings from Quebec ⚜️, Canada 🇨🇦!
After a very busy summer, we’re back in Quebec where we serve locally at YWAM Dunham. Before we share what we’re doing in this season, here’s an overview of the summer ministry.
Report of our season in Kona serving as staff in the Leadership Training School (LTS)
Key points in this newsletter:
The LTS consisted of 251 students (A.K.A. YWAM leaders from around the world), 144 kids and 80 staff leaders. These came from 54 unique nations. And when the nations gather before God, Jesus is glorified and meets with His people. There were so many powerful moments of hearing from God through His word and responding with repentance and faith. A new generation of leaders in YWAM is rising up to follow Jesus into the future! What a privilege to be a part of that new wave of God across our world!

Here’s a sneak peek into our classroom:

Both of us had the opportunity to teach special breakout sessions like this one:

…as well as being on a panel of international leaders from time to time in the main sessions:

During the LTS I experienced a tremendous amount of unexpected, personal breakthrough and healing. From the very first week, the school leaders set a cultural norm of honesty: we have to ask the honest questions on our hearts, even if they are painful to speak out loud, if we want to learn and grow. The vulnerable, hard-learned lessons from the staff, speakers, and other participants were hugely impactful to my growth and healing.
LTS Student Testimony
Ultimately, the experience in Kona reminded me of God’s perfect ability to accomplish His mission. Nick Brentt, one of our speakers early on, summed it up this way: “Maybe Moses and Joshua were great leaders, or maybe God just made it so obvious they couldn’t miss it.” It’s not about how good of leaders we are; it’s about how faithful God is to make Himself and His will known to us. We can be free of the pressure to perform for the Lord when we remember who called us into this ministry in the first place.
There were two major keys 🔑 to this time in Kona, Hawaii for Elias:
Elias Thrived!
One of the evenings the teens were sharing what they have learned about themselves through a process of exploring God’s design for their lives. It’s called “Destiny by Design”. Elias was chosen to present to the public. He did a great job! If you wanna get to know our son, Elias, better, this video will give you a taste of who he is.

And here are some pictures of Elias with his friends:

We continue to journey with the YWAM leaders that gathered in Kona for the training. They are working on long-term projects in different regions of the world and we’re coaching them through the process of developing those. These are some of the leaders that Rob is journeying with until the end of November.
LTS continued…

A few days after arriving home from Hawaii we began the School of Biblical Studies (SBS) again at YWAM Dunham. The School of Biblical Studies (SBS) is a 9-month course where we immerse ourselves in the Word of God. We’ll study all 66 books of the Bible, discovering and applying God's truths from this collection of books to the world we live in today.

We have a fun group this year!

And this is our classroom this year. It’s a full room!

Multiplication of God-Revealing Bible Engagement. God has included us in His active move in our generation to End Bible Poverty and He has positioned us to serve as facilitators for many to discover God and know Him through the Bible. We pray that each act of effort from our part would be empowered through His Spirit so that God might reveal Himself to people in transformative ways.
