March 9, 2010 update

Greetings to everyone,

This last month has been an interesting one to say the least. We've discovered that we're going to have a baby, we've worked through the schedule at the base for the next 2 years and we are handling the growth of having two schools running at the same time. Busy is better than not busy, but it sure can get tiring sometimes.

The changes of pregnancy have really thrown us off. To quote Cy directly, "I no longer judge pregnant women about the things that they feel." She has had to readjust her schedule of working, studying and resting. Please pray for the health and growth of the baby and for physical protection for the one carrying him/her. The due date is supposedly October 1st. One great thing is that the nurse who will be helping us is not a Christian and she's really interested in Christianity. We hope to use this opportunity to share with her over these next months.

The SBS (School of Biblical Studies) is going just fine. Our new student (a Japanese guy who came to do the Old Testament) has integrated nicely and they are all working toward the goal of studying all 66 books of the Bible by July 10th. Two of them are actually ministry leaders. God brought the right people for the right time.

The base has a new website up and running. The building project has remained where it was last month—we received two new donations and we're now sitting at $6,600. The goal is $75,000; please pray that God will provide in His miraculous ways.

Please pray for both of us as we will be teaching a lot in the upcoming months. Rob is teaching every Monday night in the DTS and a few times in the SBS. Cy has already been teaching (she taught Numbers last week) and will continue to carry a large load there.

For your information, our family who live in Chile are doing ok after major destruction in their city—their houses remained intact. Please pray for security and God's provision to cover all of their needs.
