Last 2010 update

Holidays greetings to everyone!

Cy and I have finally celebrated our first Christmas with God's promised child for us. It is truly a blessing to spend our short holiday break with our smiling, joy-bringing son, Elias.

These last two months have been filled with God's blessing with the visit of Rob's parents, Ted and Sharon Wiebe, as well as seeing Thais come to Christ during our outreach and our DTS students growing exponentially in their faith and obedience.

The DTS is going well. We have 13 students from 7 different nations as well as 8 staff from 5 different nations. Recently the DTS divided into two teams and went to two different provinces of Thailand: Lampang & Sukhothai. God led both teams to villages where there was no church and no constant Christian presence. One team had the privilege of seeing God heal people as well as baptizing new believers. The other team was accepted into the home of a family of peace—and on the last night the whole family, including uncles and aunts, accepted Christ.

One personal experience: we prayed for an old man who had one leg and asked for the removal of constant pain. After praying and sharing about Jesus his pain was completely removed. We lifted him up and he stood for the first time. The following day he confessed sin as the Holy Spirit gave a word of knowledge, was filled with joy and peace, and said he no longer feared death. Christ brought another sheep into His sheepfold that day. May Jesus get all the glory!

The DTS will start up again the first week of January. We're planning on going to China for outreach for one month and one month in Thailand. Please pray for Cy and Elias needing new passports before China, for health as we travel, and that God would prepare the way.
