February 2011 Update
Greetings!
Yet another month and a half has gone by and God has been at work. Our family is doing well. We're becoming more and more adjusted to life with a baby. Elias is growing very quickly (he's 4½ months old already) and he's learning everything rapidly, like how to roll around on the floor. He is quite the smiling boy, giving everyone joy when they see him.
The DTS had 5 weeks of studying here at the YWAM Chiang Rai base. As a DTS we were in need of over USD $12,000 in order for our teams to do part of their outreach in China, the place that God told us to go to. As a school we took up offerings, people contacted their supporters and God miraculously provided all the money needed. One team is currently in China and the other will be going in March. Please pray for their safety and God's guidance as they interact with Muslims, Buddhists and Communists in this area of the world.
Cy needs a new passport and visa to Thailand. We leave for Malaysia to go to the closest Venezuelan Embassy. During a one-night stopover in Bangkok we'll connect with the South Abbotsford Church Missions team. We'll be in Malaysia for just over 2 weeks for paperwork, as well as visiting the outreach teams while both are in Malaysia. Please pray that it all goes well with the passport application.
Currently our YWAM base is full to overflowing. We're hosting a Leadership Training School for YWAMers serving as missionaries in an unspecified country. It's the first time in our recent history that our base has been completely full. Praise God for answering our prayer: "Father, send workers for the harvest!"
