Hello friends and family,
CY’S HEALTH
It’s been a while since we have communicated how things are going and we left you all in the balance of knowing Cy’s health’s struggles without the results of your prayers. After 2 months of seeking God and doctors, we discovered that she had nerve problems. The nerve has since healed (thanks be to God) and now the muscles are beginning to adjust back to normal. Sometimes she has pain, but it’s muscle pain, not nerve pain. Overall, God has been faithful to bring healing to her.
One of the things that we are meditating on and praying about, and we would ask you for prayer as well, is that God has spoken to Cy about learning to play guitar and worshipping God through that. The nerve and muscle pain has hindered her in this. Also, pain increases when she plays and decreases when she doesn’t. We believe that all of this situation could very well be an attack against that which God has called her to. Let’s pray together for God to bring complete freedom from pain so that she may walk in obedience to Jesus.
SOURCEVIEW BIBLES
We have been able to give away many more Bibles to non-Christians in our neighbourhood. We have a couple testimonies for you:
1. One of the YWAM staff on our base, a woman named Lusiana from Fiji, has gone to the local university with the Bibles. She has gathered a group of university students together to read the Bible. The first time they started to read the Bible they read Matthew 1-5 without stopping. They couldn’t put the book down. Lusiana had to stop them. They talked about what they read and processed what the Bible teaches. The following week Lusiana got 8 more Bibles and led her first group to go to others in the library and share the Bible with them. They went to a table of young high school girls who were studying there and began to read with them. Non-Christians were reading the word of God out loud together in public. They were learning about who Jesus is and what he taught. She then left the Bibles in their hands. This has happened twice now.
2. There is a ministry in Bangkok that lives and serves in a place that is home to homeless and the people who sell themselves for a living. Their intention is to show the love of Jesus to these people and disciple them. The leader, Iven, got a bunch of Bibles and started to use them with his neighbours. One day he was sitting at a public table on the sidewalk reading with one other person. As people around them saw and heard them, another person sat down and joined in, then another. They read the Bible there for 2 1/2 hours. People were listening around them as they read it out loud. Iven tells me that one man who had been rather resistant to discussion about God over the years suddenly opened up with the reading of this Bible.
The people are hungry for the truth of God and Jesus is meeting them through this Bible.
FINANCIALLY LIVING ON THE EDGE
These past 2 months have been special for us financially. They haven’t been easy, but they’ve been a good testimony of God’s provision for us. Having returned from Hawaii (a very expensive place) we were depleted financially. Cy’s health became an issue, our vehicle needed some repairs and we had a major trip to Malaysia and other cities in Thailand do to passports, visas and YWAM meetings. None of these things are within our monthly budget. We were crying out to God for His provision. Through God’s people and their sensitivity to God’s design to meet our needs through them, we were able to walk through every step of the last 2 months with His provision. We praise God for His faithfulness to give us what we need.
Coming back from the trip to Malaysia and our YWAM Thailand National Conference in Cha Am, we meet a broken windshield (our friend accidentally broke it), Elias’ tuition for school, a broken washing machine, vehicle insurance renewal and a trip for Rob to attend a global YWAM meeting in Australia. We see these financial giants to overcome and sometimes we get worried. However, as we remember God’s faithfulness to provide for all of our needs, even just over the past 2 months, the peace of God comes and reigns in our hearts as we trust in our Father who never fails us.

WEBSITE DEVELOPER/MAINTAINER NEEDED
There is a special opportunity for somebody to serve our ministry without coming to Thailand. We have recently developed a simple website to communicate the new Thai SourceView Bible (http://sourceviewthai.com). We need some help maintaining it and developing it further. I believe that there is someone among those who receive this update that could help us.
What do we need?
1. Someone who is willing to give a little bit of time to maintain our website weekly
2. Someone who wants to partner with us to get the Word of God out through the website
3. Someone who has knowledge of WordPress (even a little bit of knowledge is more than ours)
YOU DON’T NEED TO UNDERSTAND THAI. WE’LL GIVE YOU THE TEXT THAT YOU NEED.
CREATE AN ANIMATED VIDEO
We are in need of someone to create a short 1-2 minute video of how to use this Bible. If you are able to create videos, this would be a HUGE blessing for us. It’s URGENT, so spread the news…even your 13-year-old nephew who likes computers could help us out.

– Health – Cy’s health is improving, but we want to see 100% healing. Also, pray for our continued health.

– The distribution of God’s word – We want to see people who don’t know God receive, read, understand and apply the Bible in faith. This requires people to give out the Bibles, money to print more Bibles and communication of what God’s doing through it
– Love – we desire to grow in our love for God and for others
– Volunteers – we need volunteers to help us with a webpage and an animated video (Urgent)
