An Important Trip to THAILAND!
GOD PROVIDED!
In our last update we shared about the major Bible distribution project that will be happening in Pattaya, Thailand the first week of September. Our goal was to print 100,000 Gospels of Luke for distribution during that gathering of the body of Christ. We needed God to provide $50,000USD to print those AND HE DID!
Currently the Gospels are being printed and next month shipped to the location. Thousands of people will hit the streets one day during the gathering to share the gospel, testifying publicly and handing out the gospel of Luke. We’ll not only be doing this in Thai, but in Chinese and potentially other languages too!

PRAYER REQUEST:
I, Rob, am tasked with organizing hundreds of volunteers to hit the streets distributing Bibles house to house. The preparation is going well. Currently, I’m still trusting God for the funds to get there.
TRAVEL PLANS:
…fly to Chiang Rai to visit our YWAM family there (Aug 24-27)
…then to Battambang, Cambodia for a YWAM leaders’ meeting (Aug 28-Sept 1)
…and finally to Pattaya for the event (Sept 2-9)
The costs of travel, room and board for the 3 weeks I’ll be there is…
NEED: approximately $3,000 USD (approx. 4,000 CAD).
Praise God that we have already received $350USD ($470 CAD)!

END BIBLE POVERTY NOW GATHERING
(next week)
This coming week I, Rob, will be joining in a gathering to end Bible poverty around the world with other leaders from: 
Colombia, 
Costa Rica, 
Nepal, 
Norway, 
Thailand, 
Togo, 
USA, 
Australia and others. I’ll be a participant, but also share about how we got started in Thailand and also about the Share Bibles app that allows everyone to record their Bible distribution progress. It’s an exciting time to see the last two years of work to build the app being fruitful in the hands of those who distribute Bibles. Please pray that my presentation time will go well.
PRAYER REQUESTS:
- Special Grace: As a family we all prayed and listened for the leading of the Holy Spirit regarding the trip to Thailand. It was clear that the Lord was saying that Cy and Elias would remain in Hawaii while I, Rob, travel to Thailand. It was an unexpected decision (because we all deeply long to return “home” to Thailand), but we are confident it’s from God. Pray for a safety for the one traveling and for those who remain behind.
- Provision: As we shared above, there is the need for the finances to travel. There are also other needs, like funds for Elias’ homeschooling curriculum (he begins again next month) and an increase in our regular monthly support.
- Continued integration into the local community: It is well known that it usually takes 1-3 years for people to make a new country/culture their home. Please pray that this transition happens quickly. Pray that Elias would find a good friend who is a boy his age.
- Breakthroughs in Bible projects: We are so close to publishing the SourceView Reader online (see our previous update) and also a new update for the Share Bibles app.
