A sneak peek ๐ into our classroom?
Greetings from Quebec, Canada!
The School of Biblical Studies (SBS)
This winter, we led the students through the second of three trimesters in the SBS. They applied the Inductive Bible Study method to the following books in this order: Hebrews, James, 1 & 2 Peter, Jude, 1 & 2 & 3 John, John, Revelation, Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, Deuteronomy, Joshua, Judges, Ruth, and 1 & 2 Samuel. We start our final trimester April 10th.
If you’d like a sneak peek into our classroom, you can watch…

Our students have been doing phenomenal work, some of the best that we have seen in all the years of leading this school in Chile
, Thailand
, and now Quebec
. And they’re not just excelling at their studies, but they are personally and corporately growing in their knowledge of who God is and what God wants.
As leaders, we’re discipling them by baptizing (immersing) them in the knowledge of who God is and teaching them to obey all that He has commanded. (see Matthew 28:19-20)

Homeschooling & Hockey

Elias is doing well in homeschooling. The province of Quebec has very strict requirements for homeschoolers. We were hesitant about all of that, but followed God into the unknown. In a recent meeting with a government representative, the lady gave Cy a great compliment:
“Your curriculum and reporting are excellent! You’re an A+++ homeschooler! Great job, mom!”

This year Elias played ice hockey and Rob was an assistant coach.

Their team won the playoffs for their region. Then they went to the semi-finals at the regionals. They lost to the team that won the whole tournament.

One of the ways God is using hockey for His glory is demonstrating His nature and His character through both Elias and Rob. About halfway through the season, the coaches started asking Rob about what he does for a living. After explaining what he does, one of the coaches wanted to learn more. There have been multiple opportunities to share the gospel of Jesus Christ to others. The lives of those who walk with Jesus shine in the darkness, and the darkness cannot overpower them.
Teaching Trip to Kona, Hawaii
This past March Cy was invited to teach in the SBS in Kona. She taught the books of 1 & 2 Kings.

We made the extra effort to go as a family. It was great timing because there was an international event there, and we were able to see other YWAM friends from around the world there.

The SourceView Bible development

During the winter, we were able to publish a Russian version of the SourceView Bible Reader. That’s a great addition to our current languages.
Rob was able to get two new teams started on other languages: Tamil (India
) and Farsi (Iranian Persian
). Sorry, no pictures because the identities of these people must remain hidden for security reasons.
Share Bibles update coming soon…

There’s so much to share, but we can’t share it all in one newsletter because it would be so long that people would never read it! (Yes, we know that’s a reality!)
So, we’ll be sending along another update regarding just Share Bibles soon.
Prayer Requests
- Joy of the Lord would be our strength
Leading an SBS while homeschooling and overseeing the other Bible projects that we carry has been a challenge. However, discovering God through the unique activities of the SBS has been a source of joy and joy has been a source of strength. Please pray for more discovery of who God is and what He wants to do with us. - Wisdom and Discernment
There are so many things that we can be doing in this season of life. We simply can’t do them all. We want to know and follow God’s leading as we say “Yes” to him and take every step necessary to walk in step with the Holy Spirit. - More staff for the SBS next year
We thank God for the grace that He has provided us and the couple that we work with (Walter & Anne). But if we are going to see this SBS established, growing, and multiplying, we are going to need more staff. Pray that some of the students might join us as staff and that God brings in others from outside our circles to join.
Thank you for reading this far and praying for our family and ministries. God has been so faithful these many years, and we are believing for greater and greater fruitfulness for His kingdom on earth until it’s like it is in heaven.
